A woman from Kupwara, Raja Begum, was injured in a road accident near the SDA office in Bemina area of Srinagar on Tuesday. The incident occurred when two vehicles collided with each other, resulting in injuries to the woman.
According to an official, Raja Begum has been shifted to JVC Hospital in Bemina for medical treatment. She is identified as the 56-year-old wife of Gh Hassan Bhat of Langate Kupwara.
The police have taken cognizance of the incident and both vehicles involved in the collision have been seized. The accident has left the people in shock and highlights the need for proper road safety measures to be taken to avoid such incidents in the future.
